- Title: "NetWare error 156 Occurred: INVALID PATH or NO MORE TRUSTEES"
-
- Bulletin Date: 4/1/90 Revision 1.0
-
- Category: App Sub-Category: Server
- S/W Product: v3.0 NWMAC H/W Product:
- Version Affected: 3.0
-
- Operating System: NW v3.11 Rev:
- System and Hardware:
- Application: NetWare Control Center
-
- Symptom: In the NCC, the message "NetWare error 156 occurred: INVALID
- PATH or NO MORE TRUSTEES" displays.
-
- Problem: This occurs only if files have been listed in an NCC window
- and then deleted by the Finder, so that their names still
- appear in the NCC window even though the files have been
- deleted. If you select these deleted files and choose
- Trustee Rights (Command-T), this message displays once for
- each selected file name. You can dismiss the messages by
- pressing Return; however, the NCC application might quit at
- some point in this series of messages.
-
- Solution or
- Workaround: Don't leave NCC file lists open while large numbers of files
- might be deleted.
